FIG wants Hamm to give back gold -

SI.com - Gymnastics:FIG wants Hamm to give back gold - Friday August 27, 2004 10:30AM

Not only should Hamm not give the gold back, but he should tell them to stick it! This is almost like going back on any championship game and asking the team that won last year to "be good sports" and hand their trophy over to the other team because the ref missed an important defensive pass interference call. You can't go back and undo like that. I would not be surprised at all if the IOC starts implementing the option of instant replay in case there's a close decision or in case there's some controversy in the future. So ladies and gentlemen, please rise for the playing of team X's national anthem, just as soon as we get permission from the other teams that's it's okay to award a champion. Hey, I got pulled over and received a speeding ticket, although there were 50 other speeders around me going faster than I was. Stuff like that happens. In a world of "good sportsmanship", there needs to be a sense of fairness to the winners as well. Don't try sluffing off your responsibilities on to me just because you can't take care of it yourself. What do you think I am, a school teacher?

So, there are rumors going around now that Ricky Williams just may come back after all? What, has the weed finally worn off and he now realizes just how much he'll lose (if not already lost in respect) by moving away from the thing that got him to this free for all place in life? If I were Ricky, I would one, surround myself finally with people who will tell him to wake the heck up and two, do everything I had to do to get my myself right with myself as well as the Dolphins organization.

I don't know if he really thought he could get away with just walking away one day after one too many bong hits and think that the Fish wouldn't want their 8 mill back. Ricky, this ain't a video game. You can't just hit the reset button every time something goes wrong. Or maybe you can just take another pill, crawl up next to your camera and watch your favorite Cheech and Chong movie. In any case, I have a feeling that this saga is far from over ... from either the good, the bad or the bong hits!

New Day ... New Challenges

Looking at possibly selling stuff on the site (or a site). It's hard as hell to find a good wholesale company without becoming an affiliate. I don't know. There may be something yet out there in the woodworks. Things are still up in the air right now but we're starting to pull some things together. Good to see the site still going strong. Funny how we have the calm before the storm. Always seems that way with Fox. He never lets anything slip until it's happening to you.

Pre-Season

The Cardiac Cats are back! Great.. just in time to get a new heart shocker. Is this just the beginning of another wild ride into the season? Will Gamble prove to be a big payoff? How much of a stud will Colbert continue to be? Will someone get me the name of a good retirement home for Rodney Peete? Pleeeaasseee??!!
